In the beginning when God created man, he said in Gen 2:18 "it is not good for man to be alone, I will make him a helper." Interestingly enough, God, made the woman from the rib of man, possibly making a point that man and woman are to be side by side? He did not make her from the feet of man so that she could be trampled on which seems to be what some husbands think when you see their actions towards their wives. Husbands are supposed to show their love in many ways, one of them, as you indicated, by being the leader, another is by being the provider. The bible teaches in 1 Tim 5:8 "but if any provide not for his own, and SPECIALLY for those of his OWN house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel (unbeliever as some texts call it). Pretty strong words and instructions coming from God's word and instructions which men need to take to heart. To love God above all and never will I love my huband more than the love that I have for the Lord. And yes, to submit myself to my man who also loves and trusts in the Lord with all his mind, heart and soul. This is wisdom and I thank God for realizing this while I'm still single. I can never be with doubts anymore as far as my life is concerned.
