I’ve blogged about HootSuite several times already over the past two years, but this latest release is just amazing.  Having always been a fan of web based apps of client apps, with Google’s push for HTML5 and HootSuite’s undying commitment to building the best social media management app on the market, I’m even more on board with transitioning to a nearly 100% virtual tool set.

On to HootSuite5 featuring HTML5:

HootSuite users will see significant changes to the social media dashboard today beginning with a completely refreshed HTML5 user interface, plus geo-located search, native Twitter ReTweets, and integrated Google Analytics.

For all you Google Analytics users that are tired of double coding and multiple stats repositories:

Google Analytics users no longer need to switch screens to analyze site traffic and performance because all the data is now available in HootSuite’s dashboard. Using OAuth secure login functionality, you can track conversion to sales, lead generation, or other metrics from your Google Analytics, using advanced URL functions.

All in all this new version of HootSuite is amazing and I truly enjoy using this tool above all other social media management apps.  I hope you will give this unique and rapidly growing social media dashboard a try!  If you are already using HootSuite5, tell us what you think about it

The past 6 months have been like a whirlwind!  The Spirit has been moving in tremendous ways!

As you may know, my worldly skill set revolves around web based technology, sales and marketing for the past two decades.  Over the last 2-3 years though, there seemed to be a conflict going on about how I was applying that skill set in my life.  Through hindsight, it became clear that God intended me to have these gifts to further His Kingdom here on Earth, not just to make money and have fun.  ;0)

When we start uncovering and using our talents, it’s real easy to forget who gave them to us.  I was in just such a boat!  I’m sure a lot of people can relate to this and I pray you lean hard on your Heavenly Father for the answer, just as I did and the Word declares, in prayer and meditation.

So I set off in prayer and meditation to find out what, or rather HOW, God wanted me to use the talents He gave me.  As I began to communicate more with God on the matter, He brought me closer to a man I’ve been working with, Michael Eilermann, on Atlanta Christians in Business Network (ACIBN) for over 7 years.   As we joined in prayer and meditation, it became clear that we were being asked to transition the refined concept of ACIBN into a full blown website that would bring the body of Christ together not just in person, but virtually as well.

Enter G6ten (Galatians 6:10) The Body of Christ Online!

God had given us the name G6ten to play with and meditate on for nearly a year; and then something really awesome happened… this February (2010), God straight up lit the fire under me to get me moving on this website.  It wasn’t like a dad saying, “hey son, go do this please.”,  it was more like, “do this, NOW!”

After just 2 months of focused planning and development, I launched the first release of the G6ten website.  Since then (April 1 2010), God has been bringing the concepts for upgrades and enhancement and I’ve been rolling them out as quickly as possible.  The last set of upgrades were rolled out last night (May 18, 2010).

G6ten is a website for Christians to work together as One Body in Christ, regardless of their gender, race, creed, culture, denomination, and this summer, language.  Non believers will be able to come and see the body of Christ in action and become “virtually grafted” into the vine, because there is only one doctrine G6ten promotes and that’s Christ!  Guest Members to have Free Access for life.

So, in conclusion, if you are a Christian, join G6ten and start interacting with the Body Online, it’s free.  Additional features are simply unlocked when you upgrade.

Last June I reviewed six distinct twitter tools for use in small business and since then I’ve had a lot of time to work out kinks in the process of leveraging social media tools for business. 

Today, I’m going to share with you two very powerful (and free) tools to use for not just Twitter, but all of your major social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace and more!

I’ll keep this very short and sweet, so stay with me a bit

The first social media tool is Ping.fm

Ping.fm is a social media distribution application.  In simple words, you can type your message once and it goes to every social media site you have associated with your Ping.fm account.  The beauty here is you can associate nearly every major social network with this application, allowing you to spend more time focusing on the message you’re sending out rather than worrying about getting that message into all of your social networks.

The second social media tool is HootSuite

HootSuite, like Ping.fm allows you to associate your social networking profiles, but here’s the part that makes HootSuite shine over all others: not only can you associate multiple Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and even Ping.fm accounts, but you can schedule your status updates for weeks or even months out in advance and the built in reporting is simply amazing.

The conclusion of the matter is this: social media can be very powerful, but it can also be extremely time consuming.  By leveraging these two social media tools, you can get more content out to more places in far less time!

This is not a post about 2012, though I did go see it while I was in SC and it was a sore loser, save “most” of the effects.  Flee from the deception to come surrounding the return of Christ!

I have been in this flesh long enough to know I don’t know much, but what I do know is what the Father says in His Word about it.  He gives us instructions on planning our paths, seeking, planting, and much more.  All this of course, is to be mingled with the counsel of the Father (in Word and Spirit).

Here are some tips for your planning and seeking:

• take 5-10 minutes every day and read verse by verse the bible.
  • “Proverbs” is a great place to begin if you have never read the bible.
  • Read in a place by yourself.
• spend 5-10 minutes every day in prayer (speaking in your mind) to the Father.
  • Be alone and meditate when you pray.
  • Repent, Ask, Find, Triumph  (RAFT)
• if you have more time, or find yourself bored, do one of the above.

By blocking out time and following your plan, you will find yourself more at peace and connected in the spirit than ever before.  Obviously, some people will have a larger appetite, so just schedule more time in and commit to it.

If it be in the Father’s will, I plan to be bringing you weekly bible studies, networking and video tutorials in January 2010 via GoChrist.org and other venues.  I will keep you posted as things progress!

I look forward to keeping in touch as we draw near to the conclusion of the matter concerning 2012 and many other things.  Don’t get too excited or hyped up over any “good news” to come, save the good news of Jesus Christ.

Come learn of the famine that is facing us in this final generation. Not a famine for bread or water, but rather a famine for hearing the words of God!  It’s no surprise, as it was written of long ago.  Christ has foretold us all things.

The shocking pace of prophecy concerning the end of this age, although expected, causes me to groan in my spirit.  Are you groaning?  Can you feel the labor pains coming with more voracity and greater frequency?

Fear not those that can cause your flesh to die, but have no power over your soul, but fear (and even REVERE) Him that has the power to cause both your flesh and soul to perish!

Now is the time to seek the face of the Lord brothers and sisters, in Christ.

For, He is our Rock of defense, our fortress and our strength.  All glory to the Father who has given Christ dominion over all things and will assuredly make all His enemies His footstool!

This was a message circulated through one of the many wonderful internet groups with which I associate. I have posted it for your edification in the Spirit of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It was an original work written by G. D. Watson (1845-1924).

If God has called you to be really like Jesus, He will draw you to a life of crucifixion and humility, and put upon you such demands of obedience, that you will not be able to follow other people, or measure yourself by other Christians, and in many ways He will seem to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.

“Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires, and work schemes to carry out their plans, but you cannot do it; and if you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.

“Others may boast of themselves, of their work, of their success, of their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing, and if you begin it, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.

“Others may be allowed to succeed in making money, or may have a legacy left to them, but it is likely God will keep you poor, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, namely, a helpless dependence on Him, that He may have the privilege of supplying your needs day by day out of an unseen treasury.

“The Lord may let others be honored and put forward, and keep you hidden in obscurity, because He wants you to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade. He may let others be great, but keep you small.

“He may let others do a work for Him and get the credit of it, but He will make you work and toil on without knowing how much you are doing; and then to make your work still more precious, He may let others get the credit for the work which you have done, and thus make your reward ten times greater when Jesus comes.

“The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch over you, with a jealous love, and will rebuke you for little words and feelings, or for wasting your time, which other Christians never seem distressed over. So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign, and has a right to do as He pleases with His own.

“He may not explain to you a thousand things which puzzle your reason in His dealings with you. But if you absolutely sell yourself to be His…slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love, and bestow upon you many blessings which come only to those who are in the inner circle.

“Settle it forever, then, that you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit, and that He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue, or chaining your hand, or closing your eyes, in ways that He does not seem to use with others.

“Now when you are so possessed with the living God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of Heaven.”

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
